The short answer

October held at about September's level. 294 player entries posted a ranked score across the five modes, down 4% from 307. A player who set a score in two modes counts twice. Flick grew to a new high of 91 players while the other four modes each had fewer players than in September. Counted as people rather than entries, the board grew: 142 different people ranked in October, against 131 in September and 75 in August.

The middle score stayed within 6% of September's in four of the five modes. Speed was the exception: its middle score rose 17% and its upper half climbed with it. Tracking's top tenth fell the most, by 7 points. The details are below.

Scores by mode

Each player's best ranked round counts once per season. The median is the middle player's best. Top 25% and top 10% give the score you needed to reach those groups in October.

Flick

The median best score edged up from 26.3 to 27.4 (+4%) with 91 players, the most the mode has had. The top tenth started at 38.1 against 37.9, and the top quarter at 32.0 against 33.2. The best round went from 51.2 to 49.0. If your ranked flick best is above 27.4 you were in the top half in October, and above 38.1 in the top tenth.

Gridshot

The median was flat, 43.1 to 42.7 (-1%), with 60 players against 61. The top of the board came in a little: the top tenth started at 51.7 against 54.4, and the best round was 64.6 against 69.4. One note on a figure published earlier: the Gridshot score guide first quoted a median of 40.9, taken on September 26. That number mixed every player's best from both August and September rows together, 92 rows from 91 people, so it described neither season. The guide now uses the closed-September figures. The single-season medians are 38.5 for August, 43.1 for September and 42.7 for October.

Strafe

The median slipped from 21.9 to 20.6 (-6%) with 50 players against 59, while the top moved the other way: the top quarter started at 29.3 against 27.9 and the top tenth at 36.2 against 35.6. A lower middle and a higher top means the spread widened. The best round was almost unchanged, 45.5 and then 45.1.

Speed

Speed scores sit on a much lower scale than the other modes, and every cutoff rose: the median from 5.8 to 6.8 (+17%), the top quarter from 11.1 to 15.5 and the top tenth from 13.8 to 18.7. The best round jumped from 17.4 to 48.0, but that is one round, 2.6 times the top-tenth cutoff. With only 35 players a single round can move the best score without telling you anything about everyone else, so the percentiles are the safer read.

Tracking

Tracking scores are the percentage of the round your crosshair spent on target, so they run from 0 to 100. Every cutoff came down: the median from 56.9 to 54.5, the top quarter from 68.1 to 66.2 and the top tenth from 81.4 to 74.3, the largest fall of any mode. The best round held at 97.4 against 97.6, so the very top of the board is where it was while the cutoffs below it came down.

Accuracy and hits

In the four click-based modes the score is hits multiplied by accuracy, so both numbers matter. Median accuracy rose in three of them and slipped in Strafe.

ModeMedian accuracy SepMedian accuracy OctMedian hits SepMedian hits Oct
Flick77.3%77.8%3434
Gridshot89.1%89.5%4848
Speed30.6%32.3%1921
Strafe65.6%64.4%3334

Speed is still the hardest mode to be accurate in on this board: its median accuracy was 32.3% in October, against 64.4% to 89.5% in the other three. Speed also gained the most in hits, 19 to 21, which fits its higher median score. Strafe is the one mode where accuracy fell, by 1.2 points, while hits edged up by one. The Gridshot score guide works through the arithmetic behind hits times accuracy.

Who is on the board

142 different people set a ranked score in October, and 8 of them had also set one in September. Put the other way, 8 of September's 131 ranked players came back to rank again the next month. At the level of player and mode, 13 of October's 294 entries came from someone who had ranked the same mode in September, and 281 came from players with no September score in that mode.

So the board is refilled each month mostly by people who have not ranked before, and the month-to-month comparisons above are comparisons between largely different groups of players, not the same players improving. The few repeat entries are too few to read anything into: of the 13, six raised their best in the mode and seven did not.

How to read these numbers

  • Ranked rounds are standardized. Every ranked round runs the same settings, so scores compare across players. Casual scores do not, because round length, target size and count can all be changed.
  • One best round per player per season. These are peak scores, not typical ones. Your average sits below your best.
  • Small samples. Each mode had between 35 and 91 ranked players in October. A difference of a point or two is noise, and bigger shifts are worth noting but not proving anything about why. The best-round column is the noisiest of all, because it is a single score.
  • Where the figures come from. The counts and percentiles were taken directly from the site's own score tables on November 5, 2026, for the closed seasons of August, September and October. The August and September figures were pulled again at the same time and match the September report. No names or accounts appear anywhere in this report.
Next report: the November season closes at the end of the month, and its figures will be published here after that.
