The short answer
September roughly doubled the ranked board. 307 player entries posted a ranked score across the five modes, up from 164 in August (+87%). A player who set a score in two modes counts twice. Every mode grew, and flick grew the most, from 39 players to 83.
The middle score rose in four of the five modes even with that many new players, and the best score of the month rose in four of five as well. Tracking was the exception for the middle, and Speed for the top end. The details are below.
| Mode | August | September | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flick | 39 | 83 | +113% |
| Gridshot | 35 | 61 | +74% |
| Speed | 28 | 43 | +54% |
| Strafe | 31 | 59 | +90% |
| Tracking | 31 | 61 | +97% |
| All modes | 164 | 307 | +87% |
Scores by mode
Each player's best ranked round counts once per season. The median is the middle player's best. Top 25% and top 10% give the score you needed to reach those groups in September.
| Mode | Median Aug | Median Sep | Top 25% Sep | Top 10% Sep | Best Aug | Best Sep |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Flick | 18.8 | 26.3 | 33.2 and up | 37.9 and up | 42.7 | 51.2 |
| Gridshot | 38.5 | 43.1 | 48.6 and up | 54.4 and up | 55.1 | 69.4 |
| Speed | 2.6 | 5.8 | 11.1 and up | 13.8 and up | 28.9 | 17.4 |
| Strafe | 18.6 | 21.9 | 27.9 and up | 35.6 and up | 34.7 | 45.5 |
| Tracking | 57.4 | 56.9 | 68.1 and up | 81.4 and up | 91.9 | 97.6 |
Flick
The median best score rose from 18.8 to 26.3 (+40%) while the number of players more than doubled. The best round went from 42.7 to 51.2. If your ranked flick best is above 26.3 you were in the top half in September, and above 37.9 in the top tenth.
Gridshot
The median moved from 38.5 to 43.1 (+12%) and the top tenth from 52.7 to 54.4. The top of the board moved the most: the best score went from 55.1 to 69.4. The Gridshot score guide quotes a median of 40.9 from September 26. That figure was taken mid-month and counted each player's best per season, so it is not the same population as the closed-September numbers here.
Strafe
The median rose from 18.6 to 21.9 (+18%), and the best round from 34.7 to 45.5. The number of players nearly doubled, from 31 to 59.
Speed
Speed scores sit on a much lower scale than the other modes, and the middle player's best doubled from 2.6 to 5.8. The top end went the other way: the best round fell from 28.9 to 17.4. In August the top tenth started at 21.9, about 8.4 times the median. In September it was 13.8, about 2.4 times. With only 28 players in August, a few very strong rounds can move the top end that much, so read it as a smaller gap between the middle and the top, not as players getting worse.
Tracking
Tracking scores are the percentage of the round your crosshair spent on target, so they run from 0 to 100. The median barely moved, 57.4 to 56.9, with 61 players against 31. The best round rose from 91.9 to 97.6, so the top of the board got better while the middle stayed where it was.
Accuracy and hits
In the four click-based modes the score is hits multiplied by accuracy, so both numbers matter. Median accuracy went up in every one of them.
| Mode | Median accuracy Aug | Median accuracy Sep | Median hits Aug | Median hits Sep |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Flick | 71.9% | 77.3% | 30 | 34 |
| Gridshot | 87.9% | 89.1% | 43 | 48 |
| Speed | 18.5% | 30.6% | 13 | 19 |
| Strafe | 63.0% | 65.6% | 32 | 33 |
Speed is the hardest mode to be accurate in on this board: its median accuracy was 30.6% in September, against 65.6% to 89.1% in the other three. Accuracy improved by the largest margin there, 12.1 points, and in flick by 5.4 points. Because the score is hits multiplied by accuracy, raising either number raises the score. The Gridshot score guide works through the arithmetic.
How much people played
September logged 6,410 rounds from signed-in players across the five modes. Guest rounds are not counted here.
| Mode | Rounds | Signed-in players | Rounds per player | Set a ranked score |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Flick | 2,007 | 200 | 10.0 | 42% |
| Gridshot | 1,816 | 163 | 11.1 | 37% |
| Speed | 1,015 | 141 | 7.2 | 30% |
| Tracking | 889 | 192 | 4.6 | 32% |
| Strafe | 683 | 155 | 4.4 | 38% |
Flick had the most rounds and the most players. Tracking and Strafe each had about as many players as Gridshot, but far fewer rounds per player (4.6 and 4.4 against 11.1). The last column is the share of each mode's signed-in players who also set a ranked score.
How to read these numbers
- Ranked rounds are standardized. Every ranked round runs the same settings, so scores compare across players. Casual scores do not, because round length, target size and count can all be changed.
- One best round per player per season. These are peak scores, not typical ones. Your average sits below your best.
- Small samples. Each mode had between 43 and 83 ranked players in September. A difference of a point or two is noise, and bigger shifts are worth noting but not proving anything about why.
- Where the figures come from. The counts and percentiles were taken directly from the site's own score tables on October 20, 2026, for the closed seasons of August and September. No names or accounts appear anywhere in this report.
Season report FAQ
What is a good ranked score on AimBetween.Games?
In September 2026 the middle ranked score was 26.3 in Flick, 43.1 in Gridshot, 21.9 in Strafe, 5.8 in Speed and 56.9 in Tracking. The top tenth started at 37.9, 54.4, 35.6, 13.8 and 81.4 respectively.
How many players are on the ranked board?
307 player entries posted a ranked score in September 2026, up from 164 in August. Per mode: Flick 83, Gridshot 61, Speed 43, Strafe 59, Tracking 61. A player with scores in two modes counts in both.
Why do Tracking scores look so different from the other modes?
Tracking scores are the percentage of the round your crosshair stayed on target, so they run from 0 to 100. Flick, Gridshot, Strafe and Speed multiply hits by accuracy, so their scales differ and the scores do not compare across modes.
