What is Gridshot Training?

Gridshot training develops your ability to quickly switch focus between multiple targets — one of the most underrated skill sets in competitive FPS gaming. Whether you're clearing a room in a shooter, playing a MOBA, or managing multiple objectives, the ability to efficiently move from target to target without hesitation is a separating skill.

Unlike single-target modes, gridshot requires you to constantly make decisions: which target do I hit next? This cognitive load on top of the physical aiming demand is what makes this mode uniquely effective for building game-speed awareness.

How It Works

Multiple targets (2–8, configurable in settings) spawn on screen simultaneously. Each target remains until you click it. As you clear targets, new ones appear to replace them. Your score reflects how many targets you cleared within the round. The challenge is not just clicking accurately — it's choosing which target to click next efficiently, minimizing the total distance your mouse travels across the screen.

Skills This Mode Builds

Target Switching

Instantly snapping your crosshair to the next target after clicking one.

Spatial Awareness

Tracking multiple targets across a wide area using peripheral vision.

Decision Making

Prioritizing which targets to click in what order for maximum efficiency.

Click Speed

Increasing raw clicks-per-second without sacrificing placement accuracy.

Tips to Improve at Gridshot

  • Go for the closest target firstMinimizing the total distance your mouse travels across all clicks maximizes your score. The optimal next target is almost always the one nearest to where you just clicked.
  • Use your peripheral vision, not tunnel focusDon't lock your eyes on the target you're currently clicking. Keep your gaze in the center of the cluster and use peripheral awareness to identify the next target before you've finished clicking the current one.
  • Plan 2–3 targets aheadFast gridshot players are always thinking one or two clicks in the future. Rather than click → decide → click → decide, you should click → already moving to next → click.
  • Increase target count graduallyStart at 3 targets and only raise the count when you can clear 3 efficiently and consistently. Adding difficulty before habits are clean just builds sloppy patterns.
  • Don't click faster than you can aimSpeed without accuracy isn't rewarded. Misclicks break your rhythm and waste movement. A steady 90% accuracy is more efficient than a frantic 60%.
