Who writes the guides
Every guide runs under Dave's byline. The guides are written with an AI assistant: Dave decides what each guide is allowed to claim, the assistant drafts and builds, and Dave reviews, fact-checks and edits before anything ships. The author page says the same thing in more detail. Dave is not a professional player and the guides do not claim otherwise.
Because an AI assistant can state wrong things confidently, the rules below exist so a reader can check any claim for themselves.
Where the numbers come from
This site's own data. Ranked scores, rounds played and similar figures come from the site's score tables. Guides report counts and percentiles only, never names or accounts, and say when the figures were taken. The September 2026 season report and the Gridshot score guide work this way.
Other people's data. A figure from outside the site is named and linked, with the date we looked at it. When a source does not say how it was collected, the guide says that too, so you can weigh it. The mouse sensitivity guide shows the format.
Calculations. Formulas are shown in the text. The converter and calculators use the same constants as the guides, for example each game's yaw value, so a figure in a guide can be reproduced with the sensitivity converter or eDPI calculator.
Opinion and experience. Where a statement is the author's own view or testing, not a cited study, the guide should say so. Guides that still mix the two are being revised as they are updated.
What the dates mean
Each guide shows the date it was published. A second date, "Updated", appears only when the content has changed, and it comes with a short note at the bottom of the guide saying what changed. Fixing a typo does not move it. Every change to the site is also listed in What's New.
Money and independence
As of October 20, 2026, no guide on this site is sponsored and none contains affiliate links. The site earns from optional Premium accounts and may show ads; neither influences what a guide recommends.
If something is wrong
Tell us through the contact page or the Discord linked in the footer. Corrections are made in the guide, noted in the "Updated" line, and listed in What's New. If a claim cannot be supported, it is removed rather than softened.
